Whether you are new to unions or looking to gain new knowledge and skills, this section will help you learn about being a member of Local 421.  We encourage you to learn about your Local and participate in meetings, votes, events, etc.

Who is on my Local Executive Committee?

The Local Executive Committee is composed of volunteers who serve 3-year terms.  Find the current Local Executive Committee​ names and contact details.

Where do I find assistance?

​Members can find assistance both here on the site and directly with the Local Executive Committee. See resources and links below.

How do I get Involved?

As a signed member, you may become a steward and attend the Local Executive Committee meetings. Meetings are generally hosted monthly 10-12 months of the year at noon on the second Wednesday of the month.  To join, contact us and request to join the next meeting.

Attend an OPSEU Event

As a signed member, you may attend OPSEU educational opportunities and conferences. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend!  For OPSEU training, expenses for accommodation, travel, childcare, and meals are reimbursed - requests for advance funding to support upfront costs can be made to the Local Treasurer.  If training is during working time, your time off is paid by OPSEU.  For questions on how to get approval, talk to your Local.
